ARLINGTON, TX - Police in Arlington said a man died following a pedestrian accident on Monday evening.
According to CBS DFW, the 67-year-old victim was attempting to walk across W. Pioneer Parkway and was hit by an Infiniti. The pedestrian was found on the side of the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was not using a designated crosswalk at the time the crash occurred.
The driver of the car involved remained at the scene, was reported to be cooperating with investigators, and was not facing any criminal charges.
Arlington police said the incident served as a reminder to pedestrians to use designated crosswalks and obey traffic lights when walking across roads.
