News: Man pushing wheelchair in Lewisville struck by hit-and-run drivers

LEWISVILLE, TX - An elderly man was injured last week after being struck in a hit-and-run incident in Lewisville, police said.

According to WFAA, the 73-year-old victim was pushing his wheelchair for support on Lake Park Road near I-35E Wednesday night when the accident happened at about 10 p.m.

He was struck by two vehicles, and both drivers left the scene without stopping to help.   The victim was hospitalized at Medical City McKinney in serious condition.  Family members said the man was walking to a gas station from his apartment complex at the time of the crash.

The two drivers are now being sought by Lewisville police, who asked anyone with information about what happened to contact them.
