News: Driver arrested after deadly crash on SH-183 in Irving
The victim was struck while standing near their disabled vehicle
DALLAS, TX - One person was killed and another was taken into custody following a collision in Irving early Wednesday morning.
According to a report by CBS DFW, a driver of a disabled vehicle was standing on SH-183 near Carl Road shortly before 6 a.m. when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the disabled vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the wreck.
The striking vehicle's driver was arrested after displaying signs of impairment at the scene. Intoxication manslaughter charges are pending.
The identities of those involved in the deadly crash are being withheld pending further investigation.
