FORT WORTH, TX - Police said they have arrested the suspected driver responsible for the death of a woman in Fort Worth early on the morning of Dec. 4, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
23-year-old Ajdin Dervisevic has been charged with accident involving a death and was taken to the Fort Worth Jail following his arrest Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place on Texas 183 westbound near the Texas 360 southbound ramp at about 3:25 a.m. Authorities said a 27-year-old woman had gotten into a crash at that location that left her vehicle disabled. As she walked away from her vehicle, the woman was fatally struck by another driver. That driver left the scene without stopping to help, witnesses told police. No details were released on how authorities were able to track down the suspect.
The victim's sister said she was driving home from her job at a Dallas restaurant at the time the incident occurred.
