DALLAS, TX - A collision in Dallas over the weekend sent two police officers to the hospital, according to a report by NBC DFW.
The officers had come to the aid of a driver whose vehicle stalled in the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway early Sunday morning. The Dallas Police Department said the two were standing outside their cruiser at about 2:15 a.m. when a vehicle hit their squad car, which then struck the officers.
The officers, who are assigned to the North Central Patrol Division, were not seriously hurt and were taken to an area hospital where they were treated and released. The stranded motorist was not injured.
It was not yet clear whether any charges would be filed against the driver who collided with the police car.
