Licensed to practice in Texas since 2013, Machell combines legal acumen with a steadfast commitment to justice and client advocacy.

Machell’s path to the legal profession began during his distinguished 20-year service in the United States Navy, where he served from 1997 to 2017 as an aviation specialist. While on active duty, he pursued higher education at the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a degree in Criminal Justice, and later obtained his Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

During his military service, Machell was the recipient of multiple commendations and honors, including:

Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal

Good Conduct Medal(awarded for exemplary behavior and performance)

National Defense Service Medal

Global War on Terrorism Service Medal

Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation

These awards reflect his dedication, discipline, and consistent excellence throughout his naval career.

While in law school, Machell further demonstrated his passion for justice through volunteer work with the Innocence Project at the Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy. There, he worked to overturn wrongful convictions, particularly those affecting individuals from underserved communities—a mission that continues to inspire his legal career.

Machell’s background in the military and public service has profoundly shaped his legal approach: he is disciplined, compassionate, and deeply committed to achieving fair outcomes for his clients. He brings a problem-solving mindset to every case, along with a drive to deliver justice to the vulnerable and voiceless.

Outside the courtroom, Machell is active in the legal and local community. He regularly volunteers with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and participates in professional organizations that support access to legal services. His life of service—first in the military, now in the legal field—continues to make a meaningful impact on the clients and communities he serves.
